Suicide Awareness Training

Rockland County School Districts Receive $6,000 in funding for Suicide Awareness training

The Brandon W Smith Foundation worked with Rockland BOCES and the Rockland County Mental Health Department  to arrange for suicide awareness training for all local school districts in the county.  The training is provided by the Suicide Prevention Center of NYS

In addition, The Brandon W Smith Foundation is working directly with the Clarkstown Central School District (Brandon's District) to provide direct funding to provide education  to the educators in the school district.  On Tuesday April 16th the Board of Education of Clarkstown Central School District recognized our effort during the board meeting

The Foundation Staffing and Support

100% Volunteer Organization

We do not pay any salaries or provide any benefit to our staff, we only do this to honor the memory or Brandon W Smith, gone too soon.

Community Support

The primary source of funding for our organization comes from the local communities.   The amount of support we have received has been overwhelming.
