Suicide Awareness Training
Rockland County School Districts Receive $6,000 in funding for Suicide Awareness training
The Brandon W Smith Foundation worked with Rockland BOCES and the Rockland County Mental Health Department to arrange for suicide awareness training for all local school districts in the county. The training is provided by the Suicide Prevention Center of NYS https://www.preventsuicideny.org.
In addition, The Brandon W Smith Foundation is working directly with the Clarkstown Central School District (Brandon's District) to provide direct funding to provide education to the educators in the school district. On Tuesday April 16th the Board of Education of Clarkstown Central School District recognized our effort during the board meeting
